The unexpected is why we have an Emergency Fund or Contingency Fund if the idea of an emergency stresses you out.
I also like to add buckets for other big chunks – like a Fun Fund (Travel, Art, Leisure), New Car Fund etc. The better you define the purpose of your money, the less likely you are to fritter it away on things that don’t matter.
